Look at the picture from the 1950s!

Do you realize what the food industry has done to us? It’s crazy because you can barely spot any obese person in the picture.

Yes, it’s no surprise that we are eating 800 and above calories per day more now than in the 50’s.

Meals in those days were prepared from scratch, with fresh ingredients bought daily. In the 50’s and 60’s, meals were proteins and vegetable rich with less carbohydrates.

Portions were much smaller, and yes, we ate most meals home-cooked and eating out was considered as a special treat.

Today, we have fitness trackers, calorie counting apps, fitness watches – we have more devices and tools than ever before.

Then why have we become fatter and sicker than before, over the years?

It’s because of our modern food environment.
Everybody blames you. The food industry says – nothing is wrong with the food and passes the blame on to you.

They say you are lazy, you are in disciplined, you don’t know how to control your calories, you are not burning enough calories, you don’t exercise enough, and so on…

These guys have the world’s best scientists and marketing to keep you and your children hungry all the time.

So until we get stricter regulation in place, we will continue to face today’s most blatantly visible – yet most neglected – public health problem, that is, the global obesity epidemic – it is here to stay!

The fabled fountain of youth has become a reality. Centuries ago, Ponce de Leon went chasing after it & started a trend that exists to this day. The waters of the Bahamas & Florida that de Leon believed could restore health & youth – although nice to swim in – didn’t quite cut it. You can also forget about finding the answer on some mountaintop.
